Want to work with me?

I’d love to hear from you about working together, whether its giving a reading, collaborating on an event, storytelling, or teaching.

Teaching

Tyler has  led writing workshops for MFA students, high schoolers, and adult learners alike, including sharing stories with young people impacted by the carceral system through POPS (Pain of the Prison System) lunch clubs and speaking to teens through House of Speakeasy’s SpeakTogether program in the Bronx. Tyler also worked as an adjunct professor at Manhattanville College teaching creative writing and journalism for 5+ years.

Speaking + Storytelling

Tyler has given readings and shared stories at dozens of events and bookstores across New York City and beyond. She has been a guest on a wide range of podcasts—BBC Outlook, Radiotopia’s Criminal, The Good Life Project, and No Filter to name a few—and was featured in an award-nominated AMC documentary short. Most recently, she discussed New York City’s changing literary scene on The Short Fuse Podcast, talked book life with People at the Core, and shared a story on the stage at Joe’s Pub as part of House of Speakeasy’s Seriously Entertaining series.

The minute she began speaking we were all hanging off her words. Her poise, tone and thoughtful delivery of such a personal story touched everyone in the room. We couldn’t have asked for a better speaker to kick off our weekly sessions and hope she comes back soon to share more of her captivating work.” —Tatjana Green, Founder of Brains & Brawn, an NYC-based writing workshop
